electric-fence software package provides A malloc(3) debugger, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install electric-fence
electric-fence is installed in your system.
Make ensure the electric-fence package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep electric-fence *
You will get with electric-fence package name, version, architecture and description in a table
